In a recent case that highlights the ongoing battle against environmental crime, Stephen White, a 66-year-old waste carrier from Devon, has been ordered to pay a substantial sum of £11,741 for his role in illegal dumping. This conviction marks the fourth related to the dumping of waste at Little Lindridge Farm, near Kingsteignton, Devon. White's actions, spanning from June 2019 to October 2021, resulted in the deposit of an estimated 450 to 588 tonnes of waste, a significant environmental violation. The Environment Agency's investigation revealed the severity of the situation, with the site requiring at least £25 million in remediation costs.
